dreary day

I kept waiting for the sky to clear today, but alas, the rain goddess' didn't give way to my will. So, the preview pics of these were taken at the same time the picture above was taken. Inside, with a flash. These are in the works. (obviously!)

1x1 rib waistband, same cuff I did for Christine last time, and a fun "varsity" stripe, as I call it. These are DESPERATE to be blocked. I'm a bit farther on the second leg, but that happened after I took the pics this afternoon. I'll update when they are done.

so made up for lost time

last night i stayed up and knit my little fingers off. finished one leg. i just got rolling on it.
funny, before i frogged, i hated the way it was pooling, so i had to knit with two skeins, which is always discouraging when things start to get tangled. then i put it off to knit for the stocking. so yesterday was the day i picked them back up only to realize things were a mess, wrong number of stitches, etc. so froggin' actually renewed my love for these longies and i just could NOT bring myself to put them down last night.

what I love about Christine is she is so easy peasy and I get to be a bit creative. So, I added something new to her longies that I think will be really cute. If not, I'll frog again!

yes, yes, time for chronicals of the frogged knits.

this time around, i'm working on a custom and realize that the leg i'm knitting is about, oh 10 stitches less then the other leg.

Black Friday

Well the holidays are officially upon us! The rain has set in, the cold has chilled my breath, my days are shorter...but never fear!

The WONDERFUL, crafty ladies of iCrave have banded together to present "Free Black Friday!" What better way to taste our crafts without spending a fortune? Time for another WAHM rave!!

This time it is for the lovely Christine of Arabesque Baby with whom I've had the pleasure of trading. I think I got a wonderful bargain! Three of her perfectly made fitted diapers for two pairs of YYMN knit longies. The only action shots I've been able to get since my little beany is out of cloth for a bit to heal her battle wounds from yeast. But we are on the mend, and today she was back in the saddle! back in the saddle again!!!

It has come to my attention that there is another seller that has recently started selling on Hyenacart with the same name as I have. Instead of contacting said person, and since I'm not really in love with my name, I've decided to change. Its been in the works, and I think I have finally decided on a new name. I will change it before the next stocking. I will leave this blog up for one month under this name before linking it to my new blog address. When I announce this Friday I will add the new link for you to bookmark!
