progress in current customs

First up:

Huggymommy~~The last skein of yarn is drying. The waistband is cast on. I expect to complete these by Saturday. No pics as of right now.

Kate~~First leg is complete as of tonight 6/30. I expect these to be complete by Wednesday.

Sarah~~Yarn is drying.

well...almost. still need a drawstring!

i stayed up until 2 am determined to finish these last night. Wowzers am I beat today. Good thing I am eating chocolate cake now! So that was two legs in one day. Its nice having the old man around in the summer. I get through my customs so much faster.

These have not been washed or blocked yet. I must say this yarn was a stubborn one. I did not like the way the were pooling so I ended up knitting with two strands and could NOT prevent pooling. But i'm very happy. I think they look like a 1980's video game and am inclined to tell them so.

Now...with out further ado:

i've also been super busy dyeing for this weeks stocking on iCrave. Not sure what happened but lots of BROWNS!

i wasn't LOVING the dark thread. so i pulled it out and replaced it. The first half of her custom order is done and shipping today! I hope the mama loves them! I think they turned out swell!

soaker update

the soaker is complete save for weaving in the ends and doing the drawstring.

I am much further along on these. I've split for the legs now. I've been knitting like mad all day long. Even squeezed in some knitting right after work before coming home...I really LOVE the way the patterning is happening on the body. Its spiraling, but not pooling...i love it. The waistband pooled alot but luckily the mama i'm knitting for doesn't mind the unique ways that yarn chooses to become what it becomes...does that even make sense?

in the works are a pair of shorties for shannon of flip, skip, jump. we are trading fora cute little dress she made Elliot which can be seen here

these are being mailed out on monday and i will have pics up soon.

i'm also dyeing up some yarn for a nice lady who ordered three pairs of shorties and one soaker. i'm going to be busy knitting. so if i'm not posting...you know why.
