one done!

i've finally finished up these little apple tree longies. well almost. still must weave in some ends and make a drawstring. i'm loving them and can't wait to get them washed so i can see them laying flat.

i'm getting very close to the end of these and i'm so envious that have to send them off! i almost wish i had just made my kiddos a pair first! but it has officialy moved to top of my priority list now! these are amazing! (if i do say so myself!)

second leg done: apple tree longies

i've been a knitting fool today and am finishing the cuff of the second leg tonight. tonight and tomorrow i will finish the apples on the top and weave in the ends. hoping to have these drying by tomorrow afternoon and ready to mail late wednesday/early thursday morning!

i made some minor adjustements to the apple as the shape i had was bugging me. i think this looks better. i'll get pictures in the morning in the sunlight!

apple tree update!

i experimented this afternoon to get what i hope will look like an apple. here is the first one. i'm going to add brown to the top and a small stem but i'm still knitting with the brown so that will have to wait until the end. i can't wait until these are done! i'm soooo happy with the way they are turning out. i hope the mama that i'm knitting for loves them too!!!

leg one done

i've finished the first leg of the apple longies. i've also done the embroidery work to make the line around the leg look like the bottom of the tree instead of just a straight line. its meant to replicate what a drawing would look like and not a realistic one obviously but the way we all drew a tree when we were kids. it will come together better when everything is added but i love the way it is turning out so far.

i've also started on the body of the bee longies. here is the completed waistband. (sorry the pic is so dark)

set back and update

total set back on the first pair of longies. i realize at the end of the leg that the three stitches i had picked up at the gusset were left on the wrong needle! frogged the whole leg and have made up about half of it. minor set back but hope this will only put me a day behind at most.

the bee longies are cast on and the waistband is done. i did this in a K3P1 ribbing and i must say, this is the first time i've tried it and it looks so classic. i will get pictures after work tomorrow.

first leg is halfway done. will finish this tonight then do the second leg tomorrow. sunday will finish up the embroidery and will HOPEFULLY mail these out by tuesday. they will be washed and blocked monday. will post pics later tonight.
